District 21 comprises the following counties in Central Texas:

• Bandera County
• Northern and northeastern Bexar County
• Blanco County
• Comal County
• Kendall County
• Kerr County
• Real County
• Western Travis County

The residents of these counties are fiercely independent, mostly conservative, and always willing to speak their minds.

In all their diversity, one thing stands clear. They want more freedom in their lives, and less unnecessary government intervention.

They know the value of a dollar, and a lot of them are dissatisfied that so many of their dollars go to Washington, and so little comes back.

My goal this year is the same as in 2006 — to turn that around, to lower their taxes (and mine), and to bring Federal responsibility back to District 21.
